Let's make Pakistan a corruption free country
is a form of dishonesty
undertaken by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit. Corruption may include many activities including bribery
and theft, though it may also involve practices that are legal in many countries. Government or political
corruption occurs when an office-holder or other government employee acts in an official capacity for personal gain.
Corruption in Pakistan
is widespread, particularly in the government, public sector institutions even private sector. Transparency International's 2017 Corruption Perception Index ranks the country 117th place out of 180 countries. Pakistan saw a significant improvement in its statistics in 2013 when its ranking.
While Pakistan has had a problem of corruption since it came into being. The change in regimes between military and civilian institutions have also weakened the anti-corruption institutions. Recently, Pakistan has been doing better in reducing corruption than previous years but still there's a long way ahead. There is a growing need to reform accountability and anti-corruption policies at higher levels within the state government.
There is no doubt that the curse of corruption has eaten the whole economy of Pakistan. When the government realized the involvement of public officials and political parties in corruption charges they passed an ordinance of national accountability, making National Accountability Bureau
as an autonomous federal institution to combat corruption cases. NAB is that institution that investigates, inquires and arrests individuals of corruption charges. Individuals are prohibited from holding political office for ten years who are convicted under the National Accountability Bureau Ordinance.
So far any law and/or punishment couldn't reduce corruption in Pakistan so we demand new legislation which enforce at least Life Prison on any size of Corruption and also remove plea bargain option for the corrupt criminals
