Road safety & awareness has to be implented as soon as possible, with recent events occurring leading to deaths of innocents it’s crucial that we educate those who go behind the wheel about how to ACTUALLY drive, along with safety measures, safe distances, speed limits etc. It’s not normal to witness 3-4 accidents occurring within a week, which is not a one off but something that happens again and again. One cannot carry on fearing driving which is a normal necessity. Let’s focus on breathalyser tests to be forced on any person who seems under the influence of alcohol, Educational classes & licenses let me reiterate LICENCES to be checked which shall aid in preventing underage driving. Help me out, let’s get this message across. This needs to STOP!

Motive to write the petition

My aim is for this campaign to shine a light on the issue of road safety.

We need to begin compulsory educational classes on road safety along with breathalyser tests & regular checks of licenses.

Anticipate Action

To have compulsory road safety classes for all ages.

  3. Bilal Dar says:

Road traffic crashes are one of the world’s largest public health and injury prevention problems. The problem is all the more acute because the victims are overwhelmingly healthy before their crashes. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 1 million people are killed on the world’s roads each year. A report published by the WHO in 2004 estimated that some 1.2 million people were killed and 50 million injured in traffic collisions on the roads around the world each year and was the leading cause of death among children 10–19 years of age. The report also noted that the problem was most severe in developing countries and that simple prevention measures could halve the number of deaths.

  7. Hamza Shafiq says:

People should not be allowed to drive a vehicle without a license because here majority of people don’t have license and they are the ones who doesn’t follow the rules. Which results in accident and injuries. Authorities should held a seminars or Orientations for this so that people become aware of these things too and make people follow these traffic rules. I think this will be the big step towards this Country’s Development.

Don’t rush while driving because it’s better to reach late rather than never. Follow traffic rules strictly because it’s for your own safety.
